Once, but not so long ago, this house used to give hospitality to the people who worked in the fields and looked after the livestock in the area. Once, but not so long ago, crop harvesting, grape picking, milking and silkworm farming were the most important activities… then something changed and this house became empty and silent.
In 2005 Alessandro e Paola, two booksellers, decided to live here and live out the different seasons. Thousands of olive trees came with their fair flowers (mignole), a vegetable garden was started and fruits ripened on the sweet-scented trees. Then came the busy bees, the quiet donkeys and much much more.
Shaka arrived with all the energy of his youth. Once again in 2012 the doors were opened to guests and this big house on the hill came to life again with its joyful seasons.
